It was just over two years ago that I started as an Assistant Director of Admission at USC. Wow, just what a journey it has been! I work with pupils from the variety of areas: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas City, and parts of Orange County and San Diego (phew!). I have actually bright hair that is red while the fiery personality to complement, therefore I am always full of energy or more for any adventure. I love to travel, explore the outdoors, bake anything with chocolate (lots from it!), and you can always find me dancing if there is a tune that is upbeat. I will be thrilled to be joining the blogging team and can not wait to share a number of my insights and knowledge about the admission college and process life.
I grew up in Utah and lived in the many mountains that are beautiful the world. I spent quite a bit of time exploring them, but got tired of the lengthy winters, which is why I was eager to attend college in sunny Southern California. Our pupils are thinkers, academic options are abundant, and our company is located in a community that is urban one of the biggest cities in the world. Dining Table For One

Currently, this blog is being written by me sitting inside a Peet’s Coffee in Northern California. Table for one, headphones in ears, answering emails and signing down notes about my senior school visits from earlier today. For the week that is next a half, i’ll be living in hotel rooms and having dishes on my own. Usually, there is time for you to explore the populous cities I visit to make certain that’s nice. But the majority of the right time, the road can be tiring so I spend the majority of my time resting as much as possible. It is very easy to get sick regarding the road!
For approximately two months of the 12 months, thousands of admission representatives throughout the country live this life style. From the perspective that is outside it seems extremely glamorous. In lots of ways, it is really a very fun job. It is truly rewarding to manage to help students in one of the very most phases that are transitional their life. It’s also nice having the ability to be away from the workplace. However, this right element of the task can be isolating since well. It generates me appreciate my buddies, wife and family back at home a lot more.
Still, our mission is what is on the forefront. USC visits over 2,000 schools per year; we look at the most high schools out of any college in the country. We are out here searching for students which will constitute the next incoming class of freshmen at USC. It is our goal to place together an exceptionally diverse class every 12 months so we wish to meet all types of students. I am honored to complete my tiny part in this process. It brings me a feeling of fulfillment to the office for a university that aligns with my vision that is own for.
So seek us down. Ask questions. Get to know us. We care in what we do and all we want is for you really to be pleased with your preference. It’s really a big life decision so that it’s important to be well informed. Like we are in a hurry in between visits, it’s probably because we are if we seem. But we will constantly allow you to be feel welcome to contact us at a time that is different via email or phone. We believe just what we do issues. It is loved by us. Even though it means sitting through one meal that is lonely a time ☺
